Longs Pond features a year-round fishing pond and dock, which is open during park hours. No fishing license is required for anglers who are under 15 years old, over 70 years old, or have a designated harvester companion card for anglers with disabilities.

The project also includes other site improvements. During this construction, the parking lot in the project area will remain closed to the public until June 2024. However, off-site parking is available near 483 Marvin Rd SE for weekend events at the RAC.
