The Marq on Martin Apartments

"If you're looking for exceptional service and a peaceful community, The Marq is the place for you. Great for soldiers, single people, families, and pets. There's a high school at the end of the street (don't worry it doesn't get to loud) and a bus that comes and picks up the little one for school only about a half block from the main entrance. Don't have a car, no problem, it's only a short walk to coffee shops, gas station, Ulta, Costco, groceries, Auto Zone and the bus stop. Having shops close is super convenient, especially on nice days. Come visit, take a tour and let our wonderful office personnel find the perfect apartment home for you. The office staff and the maintenance team work together to make living here stress and hassle free."

"No apartment is perfect, but this is one of the best places I've lived in Lacey. I've lived in apartments where cars were broken into often, some places where yelling was constant, and others where I felt extremely unsafe. The parking situation here could be better, but it's not as though they could add more spots now. These apartments are quiet, for the most part. Definitely no yelling, at least anywhere near me. I don't worry about my car, and I feel safe here. The rent does start at $1930 for a 1-bedroom, and the water-sewer-garbage does seem to fluctuate each month. The utilities are going up. I really do like these apartments, and there are definitely more pros than cons to living here. The management has always been helpful and friendly. There are definitely a lot of little fees, though."

"Update: they tried to tell me below that my water bill going from $30 to $100 is because of a 10% water increase. The reality is they charge for storm water in the summer to water everything which is specifically not agreed upon through the lease. They won't answer any questions and lie to you when they're being shady. In the two years I lived there we had 4 different neighbors upstairs because no one stays very long (including staff, there's an entire new set of people in the office than there was a year ago.) I've been here a year and my water bill has tripled and is now up to seventy dollars. My sewer bill doubled in June. I've called and ask why that's happening and no one seems to know why. There's is constantly trash just scattered around the dumpster. They redid the trash area which just meant a higher enclosure. The dog park is constantly scattered with pet dropping and not maintained. For two thousand dollars for a one bedroom after all the extra fees for water, sewer, and trash is a joke. On top of that the walls are so thin I can hear when my upstairs neighbors phone vibrates. Don't move here's I'm just waiting out my lease."

"I moved here site unseen because I was moving across the country to be here and Fatima at the front desk was so kind and helpful with my move-in experience. I'm happy to live here and I think it's priced pretty normal for the area. I do like that there are a lot of food and grocery options close by. I particularly like that there are plenty of first come, first serve parking spots, but the option to get covered or garage parking is top notch. I've noticed with other apartment complexes in the area, there is very limited parking which would probably make me lose my mind. Most importantly, I feel safe and I do not worry about coming or going early in the morning or late at night. No apartment complex can be perfect, but I feel that this is close enough. One complaint I do have is not with the apartment complex, but with one or two of my neighbors that have no regard for the rest of us -- they have dog(s) and don't pick up after them."

"The Marq has been a great place to live. I moved here for work, and its proximity to my office, as well as to so many other things, is perfect. The one issue I had with a missing package was resolved within a day or two by such friendly staff. I'm excited for pool season and to meet more community members!"
