Cape Flattery
● OpenCape Flattery, located on Cape Loop Road in Neah Bay, Washington, is a popular tourist attraction and park known as the most northwest point in the contiguous United States. The scenic Cape Flattery Trail offers stunning views of Tatoosh Island and the Pacific Ocean, with four observation decks providing a closer look at the rugged rocks, birds, and jade waters. The trail is 0.75 miles long and features boardwalks, stairs, and dirt sections, with an overall elevation loss of 200 feet. Visitors can spot gray whales and sea lions in the area. Dogs are allowed on the trail but must be kept on a leash. To reach Cape Flattery, follow Bay View Avenue which becomes Cape Flattery Road, and continue for 5.1 miles to the trailhead. Sunset views of Tatoosh Island can be enjoyed from the trail, with a drone photo provided for visitors unable to get close to the island. A recreation permit is required for hiking the trail.
