"Me and my husband spent our first night here after our wedding almost 5 years ago and we've gone back for our anniversary almost every year since. The rooms are very nice and the staff is excellent. The whole place is pretty sound proof and the rooms are large so you feel very at home and in privacy while you're there. Always very clean. Beds are large and comfortable. Large showers and complimentary coffee and waters in the room. The rooftop bar that is on top of the building is very pretty with comfortable seating, but they limit bringing drinks to your room which is inconvenient (though that may be to VA's strict laws around alcohol) if it's cold or if there's inclement weather (the bar completely closes if there is heavy rain or lightening because of its elevation). Between that and the price of the drinks being a little steep we tend to not get as many drinks as we'd like to have while we're there. The place also has no pool/hot tub etc and does not serve complimentary breakfasts which I wish was different. They do have an attached restaurant called Vivian's Table that serves breakdast, lunch and dinner though I have not tried it myself. Otherwise the place is super nice to stay at. It's walking distance from Blackbird Bakery which is really nice to go to for breakfast."

"Beautiful hotel with a fantastic location. Walking distance to downtown is great! Rooms are amazing. Beautifully stylized with a unique look. Beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is large. Everything was clean and welcoming. The front desk staff are personable and helpful. Rooms are reasonably priced for what you get. Will be staying here again when I am in the area!"

"I had to go to Bristol for a funeral. Needed to make a Last minute reservation at the Bristol Hotel.I loved everything about this Hotel. I was only there for one night and booked one of the suites. Beautiful rooms and fantastic breakfast at Vivians. Three of us had the biscuits and gravy. This was unbelievable. Plenty of food and our waitress was fantastic. I have read the complaints about the rooftop bar. I saw every sign that stated it was for guests OVER 21! The individuals that have written the nasty reviews about this policy just want complain. They are not used to hearing the word NO!"

"We just stayed here this weekend, and The Bristol is WONDERFUL. This may be the best hotel I've ever stayed at as far as cleanliness, friendliness of staff, rooms are beautifully appointed (plently of outlets by the bed!), excellent shower, and spacious, comfy bed, etc. The rooftop bar is beautiful and cozy at night--great food too! We very definitely recommend and will be back. They even are dog-friendly! Also, it's a great location for walking to everything downtown. Even once Hard Rock gets built, stay here!!"
