"I have been a WITS Certified Personal Fitness Trainer since 2015. I was in the middle of the ACE program when I made the switch. I was only interested in programs that were NCCA accredited, and only entertained programs that first met those criteria. Now I had researched all the top programs and narrowed it down to ISSA and ACE; yet, they all failed to provide hands on practical instruction. All of them were online, self-pace instructional study programs – which is fine for some, but that did not meet my needs or expectations. So unfortunately, I had to make do with what was available. Prior to this, I held my Property & Casualty Insurance licenses in two different states. I’ve held both the Series 6 & 7, and 63 Financial state licenses. Understand those are very difficult and engaging licenses to study for and obtain – and they are all via self-pace instructional and book learning. I felt strongly that a Personal Fitness Trainer certification should have a hands-on component. Why? Because the very nature of it is hands-on interaction with clients. So I was extremely frustrated as to why every single training certification program on the market failed to address this key component? That’s where WITS steps in. They understood this very important component. A local University professor is the one who actually told me about the WITS program at his institution. After reviewing what they had to offer, I applied and signed up immediately and made the switch. I had two instructors during my hands-on, in person WITS studies weekly: one for the lecture, and one who taught the practicum. The lecture was taught by a practicing Medical Doctor who also taught Anatomy & Physiology at the collegiate level; whereas, my practicum program was instructed by a well established personal fitness trainer with well over a decade of experience who ran her own fitness business, and was also action movie set medic. WITS thoroughly prepared me for a career as a Personal Fitness Trainer in ways that the other certification programs could never provide. Until the rest of the market realizes that a certification that is about interaction with real people to guide and change their physicality, needs to be taught in a manner directly aligned with what the certification actually does – they will remain behind WITS."

"I am coming up on being a certified personal trainer through W.I.T.S. for 10 years in 2024. I obtained my personal trainer certification in 2014 after a number (6 or 8 if I remember correctly!!) of in person classes taught by a highly knowledgeable and experienced trainer. After the classes ended there was a written and in-person practical test. I felt this kind of training really allowed me to have true real life knowledge to be effective in the fitness industry. The staff at W.I.T.S has always been helpful and responsive when I have had questions about completing my recertifications every two years.
