Franklin Cliffs Overlook is a popular tourist attraction located in Stanley, Virginia, United States. Kennedy Peak Trailhead, located on Fort Valley Road in Luray, Virginia, is a popular park and tourist attraction known for its stunning vistas. The hike to the summit of Kennedy Peak offers a breathtaking 360° view from the fire tower viewing platform. The hike itself is relatively easy, starting with a gentle incline along the ridge before climbing more steeply around the peak's western flank. For a more challenging hike, visitors can add the Stephens Trail to create a 9.2-mile loop with a 1,590-foot gain in elevation. Before starting out, be sure to check out the paragliding launch area with views of the Shenandoah River and Luray Valley. Please note that parking is no longer permitted on the VA 675 ridge, and vehicles parked there may be towed or ticketed.
