"My appointment with Dr Kessler at VOA was my 6month check up. Dr Kessler, besides having a wonderful bed side manner, addressed both my concerns and then his for me. This was a very bittersweet appointment since he is retiring. One thing to know about VOC; they are very tuned in to their patients. Extremely important when dealing with the kinds of medical issues these incredible people do. The staff is awesome. The lab…the lab techs will lift your lowest spirits each and every time you have an appointment. I am so fortunate to know that VOA (Hampton) has my back with all things related to my main medical issue."

"I have been seeing Dr Kessler since January and he is amazing.My very first visit with him I was very scared and I guess he seen it and he made a joke and I laughed so hard I forgot why I was there. He is so personable he gives his patience so much hope and he always says I got you I just love it. Once during chemo I was having some difficulties he excused his self from his patients and came to check on me talk about feeling special I don’t have nothing bad to say about him I thankful he is my doctor."

"I saw my doctor earlier this day for the results of my pet scan. I had been sick with a cold virus for about 5 days so I asked for meds. She prescribed me an antibiotic and cough suppressant. Once I picked up my meds from the pharmacy I realized my onc gave me amoxicillin which I am allergic to penicillin. I call the pharmacy about this and they recommended me to call the on call doctor to get a new antibiotic since it was a Friday evening. I did so and when the call was returned by Dr. Kessler I was just blown away by his rude and insensitive comments. First asking “why didn’t I tell my onc I was allergic” well she just said antibiotic and since it’s in my records I didn’t think to mention.. I’m feeling my absolute worst keep in mind. Then asks why are we treating a cold with a antibiotic.. well ummm not sure exactly what I have but definitely a virus with some infection because I have green phlegm and mucus. Then asks about a fever. I told him my temp was 99.2 at my appointment, he proceeds to tell me that I didn’t not have a fever and only 100+ is a fever. I know my body and know that I had/have a low grade fever. I don’t know if it was his tone or attitude or both but I couldn’t understand why he was being like that to me just because I wanted him to call me in a new antibiotic. Wasn’t easy dealing with him when I felt so sick."

"Except for a lab person who treated us rudely, we were very impressed with Dr. Kessler. He spent the time needed to assure us we were going to get the best care. After meeting with him we were able to rest easier. Very knowledgeable and down to earth physician. Highly recommend."
