"While traveling home from a work trip in vermont, I found myself in the middle of a storm that made travel quite hazardous. I searched for accommodations and after over an hour of travel and seeing multiple cars off the road, I found the Blue Gentian Lodge. I hoped that they were open and that they had a room available for the night. I knew I couldn't make it an additional 3+ hours home the way the roads were. The innkeepers were so gracious. They offered me a warm drink while they prepared a room for me for the night. The accommodations were lovely. I was so grateful to have a safe place to rest until the storm passed and the roads were cleared. In the morning, they offered breakfast and coffee. I am so grateful for their hospitality."
"I took part in a women's cycling weekend that overnighted at The Blue Gentian Lodge. What a special place! The pool and hot tub were wonderful after our ride, and the hosts, Lisa and her husband couldn't have been nicer. We stashed our bikes in the basement for safe-keeping and slept soundly after a delicious dinner. It's nestled in the shadow of Magic Mountain. Truly a special spot."
"This is a clean and cute motel type hotel. It has a rustic charm, neat decor, 3 nice cats in the lobby, and very nice owners! They run 100% on solar power and had lots of hot water. The beds were comfy and we were well rested from our days on the local ski mountains. We just wished that breakfast started a little bit earlier than 8am, we were already at the mountain by this time."
"My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights for skiing. The rooms were very cozy. It was frigid for the two nights we stayed, reaching -18 outside, but the heaters and bathroom heaters kept us warm. The beds were very comfortable. The inkeepers are very friendly and make breakfast for the guests, which was delicious. There is a really comfortable fireplace and even a ping pong table for public use Don't pay attention to the bad reviews below. Don't smoke in your rooms. It's against the law in Vermont."
