Viking Motel

"On a whim my amazing boyfriend decided to take me to Vermont. I'm recovering from surgery and was sick of looking at the same 4 walls. We booked this quaint motel and off we went. We got here super early and the owners went out of their way to get us in our room, we arrived 3 hours before check in. I hung out in the room during the day while he skied. I would watch the stream outside the back window or sit on the porch outside our room. The maintenance man was fabulous!! He would come and make sure I had everything I needed, shovel and salt the walkways constantly, chat with me if I started a conversation and my dog just loved him. This motel is definitely older so you must expect noisy pipes and some hot and cold water issues, but this is a minor issue. We ended up staying an extra night and once again the owners switched some things around and made it possible. All around amazing stay, very comfortable, super peaceful with the most laid back owners and staff. Thank you so much for everything and please don't change a thing!"

"A very quaint non chain brand inn, well worth the great price. It may not have an "ultra modern' feel, but we love staying at these small inns for that very reason. We checked in after 9pm, the couple that ran in were as nice and gracious as could be, as if they'd known us for years instead of a few minutes. The Queen room was neat and very clean. There's a supermarket and gas station with snacks right across the street, but the hotel is nestled back off the road. Convenient AND quiet. We'll definitely stay here again!!!"

"Great! Cozy little room, bed linens could have been cleaner so we slept on our camping sleeping bag. This place did save us during a rainstorm we were going to camp in. After driving 10+ hours we came upon the Viking and they took us in when the other areas were booked or not answering. Our two dogs were cozy and safe through the night. Bathroom floor was broken and needs fixed for safety asap. Thank you again for having us! Please fix the bathroom floor :)"

"Very reasonable. Has everything you need. Towels and soap/shampoo brought to the room daily. Mini fridge and microwave. I was on the bottom floor and the people above me we up all night walking around (seems they didn't sleep much). I was awakened at least twice a night while staying here. Floor creaking, chairs being moved around, people sitting outside their room smoking... Hot water in the tub is kinda strange. Turn it on, lots of hot water then turn the cold on to adjust the temperature (water leaking from behind cold faucet) and all hot water is lost. Turn cold water back off and then hot water returns but not as hot!?? It stayed on long enough to take a leisurely shower though. The rooms are dated but clean. The bathroom could be very nice if a little time and money were spent on it. The only other complaint (and this is personal preference) is that my bed was very hard. I like a firm mattress but this was just uncomfortable. Its a good place to stay for the price and location plus its clean!"
