"If you’re into being gaslit, l led to feeling crazy and made to feel like all your internal experiences are false and inaccurate, then this is your place. I came to the realization that I am autistic and I called NBCG, they said they do diagnose women and know how autism presents in women. This is absolutely incorrect, they do not understand masking and how different autism looks in adults. They have a very narrow view of the entire spectrum. I went through my diagnosis process. They turned all of my personal experiences around on me. They were trying to pin bipolar and BPD on me. I have done extensive research on both of these disorders and they absolutely did not fit with my experiences. My entire last appointment turned into me defending myself against something I knew I didn’t have instead of talking about the reason I was actually there. To make it worse, when I got the written report, I was absolutely shocked at how they viewed me. I began to question everything I’ve ever know about myself, it was extremely harmful. I have since found a Doctor with PsyD in Neuro Psychology. Who specializes in autism and knows how differently it shows up in women. She was able to explain all of my internal experiences to me with the scientific reasoning behind why I have always known I was different. She diagnosed me accurately and actually got upset when I told her that NGCG was trying to say I had bipolar and BPD. These are commonly misdiagnosed when it’s actually autism. It took me months to write this review and recover from the harm of this process."
