Live Oak Hillside Disc Golf Course
Live Oak Hillside Disc Golf Course is a beautiful institution located at 7924 Shin Oak Drive in Live Oak, Texas, United States. Established in 1971 from property donated by developer Lloyd Denton, this park serves as a major flood control project and offers a variety of amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park area was petitioned to become a Texas Historical Site in 1979 due to an old Indian Camp Site located within the park, with records of an archaeological dig still available in the city's archives. Spanning approximately 75 acres, Live Oak Hillside Disc Golf Course features a football field, basketball court, skate spot, three baseball fields, multiple playscapes, and of course, a disc golf course. A 2014 bond project added lights to all ball fields and a trail that circles the lake, providing a nearly 2-mile path for visitors to enjoy. The playground areas are equipped with state-of-the-art astroturf and surrounded by a fence for added safety.
Live Oak Lakeside Disc Golf Course
Live Oak Lakeside Disc Golf Course is a unique institution located at 18001 Park Drive in Live Oak, Texas, United States. Established in 1971 from property donated by developer Lloyd Denton, this institution serves as a major flood control project. The main park entrance is off Welcome Dr. and Leafy Hollow, offering various amenities such as a football field, basketball court, skate spot, three baseball fields, multiple playscapes, and a disc golf course. The park was petitioned to become a Texas Historical Site in 1979 due to an old Indian Camp Site located within its grounds. The park features a trail that circumnavigates the lake, providing a path nearly 2 miles long. Playground areas are equipped with state-of-the-art astroturf and surrounded by fences for increased safety. Restroom facilities are conveniently located throughout the park. The football and baseball fields are reserved for youth sporting teams but open to the public when not in use.

Serving as a major flood control project, the park features a variety of amenities spread across approximately 75 acres. From a football field and basketball court to three baseball fields, multiple playscapes, and a disc golf course, there is something for everyone to enjoy. A 2014 bond project added lights to all ball fields and a nearly 2-mile long trail circling the lake. The playground areas boast state-of-the-art astroturf and a fence for increased safety. The park also features picnic sites with tables and barbecue pits, available on a first come, first served basis. The Oaks Plaza Skate park, opened in 2016, offers a bi-level plaza style skate path and other skate amenities. The lake in Lakeside Park, created as a watershed management project, is a tranquil spot ideal for picnics, walks, and fishing. Handicap accessible fishing piers and an aerator in the pond help support the diverse wildlife. Paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes are allowed on the lake since 2018. Woodcrest Park, funded by Regent properties, offers walking and jogging trails, shaded picnic tables, and a unique playground with state-of-the-art artificial turf.
