About the Business

Woodcrest Park, located at 11025 Forest Pass Court in Live Oak, Texas, is a historic institution created in 1971 from property donated by developer Llyod Denton. Serving as a major flood control project, the park features a variety of amenities spread across approximately 75 acres. From a football field and basketball court to three baseball fields, multiple playscapes, and a disc golf course, there is something for everyone to enjoy. A 2014 bond project added lights to all ball fields and a nearly 2-mile long trail circling the lake. The playground areas boast state-of-the-art astroturf and a fence for increased safety. The park also features picnic sites with tables and barbecue pits, available on a first come, first served basis. The Oaks Plaza Skate park, opened in 2016, offers a bi-level plaza style skate path and other skate amenities. The lake in Lakeside Park, created as a watershed management project, is a tranquil spot ideal for picnics, walks, and fishing. Handicap accessible fishing piers and an aerator in the pond help support the diverse wildlife. Paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes are allowed on the lake since 2018. Woodcrest Park, funded by Regent properties, offers walking and jogging trails, shaded picnic tables, and a unique playground with state-of-the-art artificial turf. The park also features a gazebo and seating area, adorned with plantings from the Live Oak Garden Club. Woodcrest Park embodies trust, responsibility, courage, and dedication to the community.

"This park has lots of tables and places to sit and eat. The eating area is shaded and the playground has lots of shade from the trees. My kids love the playground here, it has stuff for all ages."

"My kids have love this park and we havent visited in months. It does have some serious maintence issues that need to be addressed. Rusted/rotted out climbing rails, big pot holes in front of the spinning chairs, and the carpet turf has some that overturned. Hopefully this gets fixed soon before someone gets injured."

"A lovely little gem of a park!! It's only 3 miles from the interstate, but one trip to Woodcrest park, and you feel like you've stepped outside the city. My daughter enjoyed the trails and truly unique playground."

"Great park to get a walk in and has decent restroom and drinking fountain available. My daughter had a blast playing on the playground and with how many other families were there she had tons of kids to play with. The park has some very basic body weight fitness equipment to use while the kids play and is in a fairly nice neighborhood and feels safe."
