"Oh my! I haven't been to a Home Plate Diner in probably 15+ years since the last one closed in Lubbock and that one had really gone downhill towards the end. This one is exactly like I remember the ones in Lubbock. The shrimp basket is still amazing and the curly fries and mac and cheese really sealed the deal. I'd driven by this one many times and was hesitance to go on because there were never any cars in the lot. So glad I did though. Great food and the young ladies at the counter are really sweet. Will definitively be back! Maybe a burger next time."
"Disappointed. Spent well over 60 bucks for food that Lukewarm at best, zero flavor, and the wait....well, let's say I could have flown to Saturn and returned and still no food. Overall very expensive for the portion sizes served, people keep on driving down to another place. Bubbas 33 sounds really good right now!"
"I haven't been fortunate enough to dine in, but have had delivery and drive thru. From what I have experienced, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Good food and good service. I highly recommend either their chicken fried steak or their burgers and curly fries. The fries are a little on the garlic side but goes well with the hamburgers. This place is a little pricy now but, not to far off when compared to everyone else."
"Home Plate Diner is a place to get some comfort food in a nostalgic setting. The food is pretty good—especially for the price. I really liked the Roast Beef! It was a fun atmosphere with Baseball and such. The customer service is great. We would go back!"
