He sold us a great PVS-14 (truly gives you the magical super power of seeing in the dark) but more, took a lot of time to demonstrate and educate us. "I made a mistake and purchased a used set of AN PVS 7B’s from a guy locally who said they were in great condition and would last for years. The set developed edge glow and other problems before going out entirely. I was devastated, I had finally gotten a set of gen 3 Autogated “NVG’s” ( as I called them in the Marines) and in less than 2 weeks I had a useless, but rather cool looking paper weight. I figured my working set was worth $ 2,000 dollars or more and an empty pvs 7 body is only worth $400 to 600 dollars. I figured I was just out the money and the device. I Called several companies who sell night optics but all of them told me they do not do repairs and told me my best bet was to send them back to the manufacture, which was not an option. I Called KDSG and found out that it may be possible to repair my set of goggles without having to buy a replacement intensifier tube, which as most people into these things know, often cost as much as the device or more. The customer service at KDSG was outstanding, and I felt so comfortable and confident that they would do the best they could for me, that I decided to ship my NVG’s to them for evaluation. The diagnostic charge was only $75 and would be rolled into the cost of the repair if I decided to go ahead with the work. I was expecting to hear that my tube was totally burned out and that the only way to get them up and working again would be to buy an older refurbished ITT tube or a newer Omni 7 tube for a bit more than I was in the market to spend. as it turned out the master builder/ technician, at KDSG was able to put my good tube into a new power supply in a process called (Re-potting) and in less than 2 Weeks I was back up and running. KDSG is now my only go to for night optics and high speed gear. I’m sure KDSG would have given me a great deal on a new tube if my set had not been repairable, but It was worth $75 to have them tell me what my options were, and it would have given me piece of mind to know for sure. My repair’s totaled out at less than $700 which is and was an amazing deal. KDSG also stands behind their work and warranties the work for 1 year.
