"We had a fantastic time here. My son was participating in a fishing tournament so we had to be up very early and manage a boat. This place made the whole ordeal super easy. We stayed in the Blue Heron Cabin, it was clean very nice and well appointed. Everything functioned perfectly. The grounds were clean and easy to navigate. The area was beautiful and getting the boat in and out of the water was easy and the dock was right across from the cabin. The people running this place were super nice and very helpful. I can say with confidence I would stay here again. Highly recommend."
"Our first trip to Caddo Lake. This was an ideal spot to stay. We had the docks right down from our place to sit on or take pictures. We took a boat ride in the late afternoon for some photo ops. The guide lives at Backwater Jacks. We rented a canoe one afternoon and rowed around the area relaxing and taking pictures. So glad we chose this location. Highly recommend."
"We arrived from out of state to find the campground flooded and not accessible. The employee (over the phone, place is not staffed overnight) acknowledged the situation and advised to not drive into the campground due to the condition of the place. We managed to find a last minute campsite elsewhere and returned the next day to ask for a refund. I’m still waiting for that refund!"
"Great location and there's very lovely people running this place. To launch your own kayak it's $5 and you get a map and tips on the paddling trails and access to bathroom with shower. Bathrooms and showers were great, nice and clean. To rent a kayak or canoe must reserve ahead of time with the agency thats separate from the RV park but still on-site. Theres parking for non-campers who are just paddling for the day. We will be back for sure!"
"What a gem!! Peaceful, quiet, and the folks here are so friendly. Bathrooms are clean and nice, and the primitive campsites are so roomy. Only had one neighbor while staying here and totally felt isolated. Even got to rent a canoe from right here which is so convenient. Definitely coming back :)"
