Texan Dome
● ClosedLocated at 1401 College Avenue in Levelland, Texas, the Texan Dome is the crown jewel of South Plains College's recreational and athletic facilities. With a seating capacity of 3,300, the Texan Dome has been home to the Texans and Lady Texans since 1967. This premier facility has hosted numerous college and high school basketball games, including conference and regional championships. The Dome also serves as the venue for SPC graduation ceremonies each May. The Texan Dome underwent renovations in 2002, including a new wood floor. The Texans and Lady Texans both won their first conference championships in the Dome in 1971 and 1976 respectively. The athletic arena, originally constructed for $690,000, is now valued at $4.3 million and includes a 10,875 square-foot addition completed in 1983.
