Texan Dome 1401 College Avenue, Levelland, TX 79336

Located at 1401 College Avenue in Levelland, Texas, the Texan Dome is the crown jewel of South Plains College's recreational and athletic facilities. With a seating capacity of 3,300, the Texan Dome has been home to the Texans and Lady Texans since 1967. This premier facility has hosted numerous college and high school basketball games, including conference and regional championships. The Dome also serves as the venue for SPC graduation ceremonies each May.

The Texan Dome underwent renovations in 2002, including a new wood floor. The Texans and Lady Texans both won their first conference championships in the Dome in 1971 and 1976 respectively. The athletic arena, originally constructed for $690,000, is now valued at $4.3 million and includes a 10,875 square-foot addition completed in 1983.

The Texan Dome also houses the Athletic Department offices, T-Club Letterman's Lounge, racquetball courts, athletic training center, dressing rooms, and team meeting rooms for the basketball teams. Additionally, the SPC Natatorium offers swimming classes, water aerobics, and lap swimming. The campus also features a new Physical Education Complex with basketball courts, weight training rooms, and faculty offices.

The SPC Track, located near the Texan Dome, is home to the college's track and field program. This facility includes an eight-lane Olympic-size track, steeplechase pit, jump pits, pole vault, high jump mat, bleacher seating, press box, and field house. Other facilities on campus include tennis courts, a softball field, and a soccer field. With state-of-the-art amenities and a rich history of athletic excellence, the Texan Dome is a premier destination for sports and recreation in Texas.
