Robber Baron Cave

The cave, believed to have origins related to the Edwards Aquifer, is home to blind invertebrate species found nowhere else on Earth. Open to the public, the cave has a rich history and was once a popular tourist attraction from 1923 to 1933. Now protected by TCMA, the cave is maintained as a karst resource to preserve its biology, geology, and history. The Robber Baron Open House, held once every 18 months, offers a rare opportunity for visitors to explore this unique underground environment.
