Zeno’s On The Square

"The food is all right enough, you’re better off sticking with pastas for your best meal. They tend to treat their regulars better than people who come in only once a month as we do. Every time we ask for a certain table, and every time they sit us by the bathroom, or on a high top in a very open area. The atmosphere is not warm or cozy. It has a cafeteria like feel to it. They pour short drinks with a high price. This is supposed to be a neighborhood restaurant. No one seems to go out of their way to be friendly, in that manner. The owner is always there, yet doesn’t come up to introduce himself as many others do. We ordered a smoked Old Fashioned and they actually charged extra for the smoke! It should come as the drink you ordered at one price. Been there a number of times but not sure we will go again. Apparently we aren’t in the preferred club even though we’ve been many times. They told us of the specials. We ordered the fish and they failed to mention that it alone was $75. An average meal there is $30. We could pay it but we may have made a different choice had we known. They shouldn’t make you have to ask prices."

"We were just passing thru but had some time to kill for lunch. Zeno’s was recommended by some people that live in the area. So we stopped by for lunch. The reception was welcoming and they escorted us to a table. Our server was young and efficient. Food was very good. We loved the bread. The salads were good. We each ordered a lunch entree and shared. A win for us and Zeno’s. Highly recommended."

"We have eaten here eight times so far. Food is excellent Every Single Time. Truly a classy place. Take the time to get to know the staff and you will definitely be treated like regular family. Wine list and cocktails are superb. Everything is beautifully plated. Each dish is complex in their flavors and ingredients are obviously sourced with great attention to quality."

These folks understand dining should be an event. Even the manager came over and visited for a few minutes. Top notch. The food...very good with extra touches that just make your experience level up. "My wife and I dined here for our 21st anniversary. We drove over an hour and we definitely enjoyed our dining expierience. You get what you pay for, and we recieved a very nice dinner with lots of flavor, and well put together dishes. As a chef myself, I recognised quality ingredients, and would not hesitate to eat here again and recommend to others. The service staff was on point, and Larue did and exceptional job taking care of us for the evening. We look forward to our next visit."
