"This place is AMAZING! Not only did they fix my BMW fast and efficiently, I unknowingly left my wallet in front seat with 75.00 dollars CASH inside. I picked up my car ....and my wallet AND all cash intacked, not touched! Finally found a reliable TRUSTWORTHY shop!!!! I rarely write reviews, however I'm so impressed, I felt EVERYONE should know how great they are!"
"Writing this review about 2 months after I purchased my 1996 Nissan Stagea from Duncan. First things first, my experience with Lucas and the rest of the team was like nothing I've ever experienced at any dealership. They were completely forth coming on the condition of the vehicle and what they had, and more importantly, had NOT done to it since receiving shipment. As this was my first experience with buying an imported vehicle, I had tons of questions that Lucas was quick to answer and he even provided me with all the documentation I needed to complete my own research prior to buying. He even gave me resources to pursue my own financing and recommended websites where I could find and cross-reference parts so I could vet how much maintenance was likely to cost me. Once deciding that this was the vehicle for me, Lucas setup a day for me to come take a test drive. While I was there, they also allowed me to put the vehicle on a lift to give a full inspection of the underside. They had nothing to hide and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Now onto condition of the vehicle. I've driven about 3000-3500kms since purchase and I haven't found any notable issues, other than the leaking front struts, which I knew of prior. I've since completed a FULL service, changing out all the fluids (Engine oil, transmission, transfer case, both diffs, power steering, brake fluid, and coolant) and changing the fuel filter and spark plugs. I only did this to give me a fresh start on all my maintenance since I had no record of the last maintenance. I was absolutely floored at how clean and well maintained everything was. Thanks to the helpful links from Lucas, I was able to check the factory specs and cross reference all the part numbers so I could purchase everything I needed from RockAuto. This saved me a TON of time and money. I couldn't be happier with the condition of the car which is 27 years old but looks as though it just came off the showroom floor. Now to address some of the negative comments I've seen on these guys because I think it's un-warranted. - When you are looking at Japanese or even American classic cars, do your research before jumping in. Maintenance and upkeep on an older car, especially one that was never sold in the US, is always going to take some research and creativity as parts are not as easy to come by. - Price of a vehicle is all relative to the market. I see lots complaining about the prices they are charging. Personally, I was very pleased with the price I paid. I looked at what these cars were selling for on auctions in Japan and decided it was worth my peace of mind to pay Duncan a little more to handle all the headaches of importing (legally) and to be able to see the car with my own eyes, drive it, and inspect it prior to handing over the check. You don't get that luxury when importing one yourself. - I also see many complain about the condition of the car they bought. In my experience, Duncan never made any claims that any vehicle was in perfect mechanical condition and had no defects. Quite the contrary actually. I was told outright, several times, that they do NOT restore the vehicles, but only do what is absolutely necessary. This is to keep them as close to an untouched example as possible. I fully expect this as they are CLASSIC cars, not brand new vehicles. To close this out, I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a classic car, whether imported from abroad or American made, check out Gary Duncan and his team at Duncan Imports and Classics. They have an absolutely HUGE inventory of these cars that I could have spent days looking through, and every vehicle I saw was a prime example, most with very low mileage. The team was wonderful to deal with and was knowledgeable and courteous and answered every question or concern I had. As stated above though, please do your research on the vehicle first and know exactly what you are getting into. I cannot say enough about how great my experience was!"
"First and foremost, this place is heaven for a car enthusiast. So many unique cars from Japan, mixed in with JDM sports cars, with a splash of classic muscle, and even a few modern classics. Quiet, comfortable atmosphere. Friendly "salesmen" - which seems weird to even call them that. Lucas was quick to answer my questions via email before making the trip. While this is 100% a real, legit dealership - it's 0% of the things you hate about dealerships. Visit them sooner than later!"
"The easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I am totally new to buying an import, but Lucas and the whole team made everything so easy and seamless. My skyline was exactly as advertised, and they had even been able to find a matching paint to touch up a few blemishes on the front hood. And gave me the rest of the bottle for the future. I've never been somewhere with better customer service. If I'm ever in the market for another import, I won't go anywhere but Duncan."
"Totally excellent customer service. Lucas is the best. After he sold me the car, he became my project manager. His new role included ensuring that damage to the leather interior was repaired, door dings were removed, tires that I purchased on-line were installed, he shipped the radio off to Clarion for repairs, installed LED lighting, and much more. Two thumbs up. Thank you so much."
