Roslyn Packer Theatre

● Closed
22 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay NSW 2000, Australia

“Surprisingly small theatre makes any show an intimate experience. The staff are welcoming and hospitable. Bar staff are fun and know their wine menu well. For wine lovers, I recommend the Here & Now Sav B and the Robert Oatley Chardonnay. I'd 100% come back to any show playing here.”

Jounieh Walsh Bay

● Closed
17 Hickson Road, Dawes Point NSW 2000, Australia

“Fantastic relaxing Lebanese cuisine experience in Walsh Bay. The service was prompt and friendly, we were welcomed upon arrival and taken to our table quickly, even though it was Saturday dinner time and it was getting busy. It is a high-end food experience delivered in an informal and relaxed style. Falafel was a highlight of the menu - crusty on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with a vegetable tempura-style cooked eggplant and baba ganush; it was perfect. Labane was thick and flavorful, and koftas had just the right spices. For those who love cocktails, the menu offers a Mediterranean flavor of these.”

“Martin Place a nice place to go for shopping, sit on the benches & listen to street singers, take a bite & regale the history of the place. How they built Sydney.. how the Britishers came & discovered this continent. The Challis House though beautiful from outside the lift is in a bad state where the flooring is so poor, hole in the ceiling GOSH☹️”

Riverside Theatres

● Closed
Church Street, Parramatta NSW 2150, Australia

“I'll start my review with the information I couldn't find anywhere before visiting: yes, you can eat inside the theater! The Riverside Theater has many venues on the same building, so I'm talking about the venue called Riverside (don't know about the others). This venue is about 1h away from my house via public transportation. Our show was during the week so it was going to be very tight to get dinner after work and prior to the show. As I looked at the event info, venue rules, FAQs... everywhere, and there was no mention of food, we ate something quickly before arriving. But it turns out that yes, you can eat inside the venue! So hopefully this info can help other visitors. I saw both - people eating stuff sold by the theater and just take away from other restaurants. The venue was clean, nice, friendly staff, informal vibe. I'd come back! In terms of seating area, the venue is quite small so anywhere you'll have an ok view. But if you're undecided between the middle rows of the main bottom floor or the upper seating, the main floor is much better. We were able to check out both, compare and choose.”

All Starz Performing Arts Studio

● Closed
60B Henry Lawson Drive, Peakhurst NSW 2210, Australia

“I have had my children enrolled at All Starz for over 10 years and I can't speak highly enough of the studio, it's directors and their teachers. Not only do the kids feel like it's their 2nd home and family, but the parents feel the same way! It's not only a dance school but a place that my children feel safe and supported and have LOADS of fun!”

The Independent Theatre

● Open
269 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060, Australia

“I have been both an audience member and a performer at the Independent. As a performer in an a capella group the natural sound feedback is great. You can hear yourself very well. As an audience member the sound is bright and crisp. The Independent is an old theatre of medium size. All seats give a great view. I hope to be there again one day.”

“It was a great day when I was there. Gorgeous blue skies and a good temp. The bar sits right along the water below the Opera House with a good view of the Harbor Bridge. The staff is nice and friendly. The food was excellent we ordered the Feta Arancini and the Prawn roll. Both were fresh and so so tasty. The Old Fitzroy Hotel

● Closed
129 Dowling Street, Woolloomooloo NSW 2011, Australia

“Venue - nestled in the backstreets of Potts Point, it’s a cozy, warm and fun place! Service was excellent. Food - we came here specifically for the Sunday Roast. The table ordered the Beef & Chicken roast. Whilst the flavour was there, we did feel some minor changes would make these roasts even better. Consistency on the plate - we saw other tables with bigger portion sizes. Which from our perspective made our plates look underwhelming. You’d expect a roast to have lots of gravy… all our plates were lacking gravy… literally had to scrape the plate to get the flavour. The Yorkshire pudding was a miss for us. Soggy consistently across the table. Overall, portion sizes were very small. For $32 for the chicken, you’d expect a bit more chicken. The beef, it was quite tough. But again, small technicalities - wait staff here are very quick, responsive and efficient.”

HOYTS Broadway

● Open
Bay Street, Broadway NSW 2007, Australia

“Watched Avatar 2 on xtremescreen 3D (first time trying). The screen was a bit wide so it took several minutes of movie play through for me to adjust. The 3D aspect was great and very immersive. Was a bit weird to put on 3D glasses on top of my normal glasses so not too sure what can be done there. Reclining seats were great and something I really appreciate when visiting Hoyts. There seemed to be a lot of popcorn under my seat which was a bit unpleasant but not a huge issue.”
