“Our large old concrete pool was so swampy that the Creature From The Black Lagoon had even packed his bags & moved out! We had contacted various pool cleaning companies who were not interested. Then we stumbled upon Pooltastic! They came out, assessed & then shortly after emptied the pool, water blasted & then acid washed the pool. Refilled & put in up to date filter & chlorinator ( they told us our original pool machinery was pretty old!), & now we have a clean sparkling pool for summer & beyond! All with no fuss & for a very reasonable price. Thank you to all at Pooltastic. Everyone should be using them!”

“easy walk to the pools. if swimming, walk slowly across the left side (it’s a bit of a climb) and use the rocks at the back of the pool to lower yourself in safely. really handy if you’re wearing some water/aqua shoes. middle of the pool is deep, there’s a few rocks and fallen branch that you can use to take a break from treading water. beautiful quiet swim.”

“Arrived at Keith Longhurst Reserve with parking available along the side of the road. On a weekday, there were about 6 cars when we arrived. From here an easy walk following some signs that I think says basin walk (although some were missing, keep an eye out for the post that was holding the signage). The trail can be a little rough, meaning loose rocks, but overall quite safe. We eventually reached a point we could hear a waterfall, overlooking the cliff we could see Kentlyn Basin. When we reached the stairs down, it was an easy track down. It took us about 15 minutes walk down (at a steady pace) to the basin from where we parked. Along the way we came across some beautiful scenery and fresh air. At the basin, it was very cool and plenty of places to relax and take in the wonderful atmosphere. Some people cross the waters to the otherside to continue trekking or to have a lay on the rocks. When crossing the waters, there are algae on the rocks so it is slippery, so take your time and be careful. When heading back, please take whatever rubbish you have with you. While trekking up the stairs, my legs were a little sore (for someone like me who hasn't exercise in ages) but it was manageable and still very easy. Note: there's no phone reception around the basin. Walking back, continue to look for the signs and trail path to head back to the car. Overall a great place to visit and I would highly recommend it.”

“We love this swim centre, we have been going since our kids were babies. I love the encouraging environment. My son who has adhd and dyspraxia has really blossomed here, he listens so intently to everything his instructor says. My daughter (3) is very particular about instructors (it has to be a girl) and the centre always does their best to accommodate. My kids have really excelled with water skills and confidence. We drive 25 mins to attend this centre as they are amazing.”

“Playground is great, and new picnic areas are being built for family use Toilets are also there. The river is very nice. With an old weir, and some lovely rocks for sitting on, a very gentle walk down to the river. Fairly quiet on weekdays”

“I love the pools here it's so warm and good for a cold day! Library has everything o could need for a good study day and the cafe isnt too bad. I haven't tried the gym yet but it looks nice”
