Welcome to Minerva Pool, located in the beautiful Dharawal National Park near Campbelltown, New South Wales. This establishment is not just an ordinary park or point of interest, but a sacred women's place for the Aboriginal Dharawal People.
As you embark on the Minerva Pool walking track, you will be immersed in the rich traditional country of the Dharawal People. Take a short bushwalk through the stunning bushland and be captivated by the serenity of the surroundings. The track will lead you to a lookout point where you can admire the breathtaking views of Minerva Pool.
Throughout your walk, keep an eye out for the Sydney golden wattle and mountain devil shrub, which hold significance to the Dharawal People as a source of bush food and medicine. If you're lucky, you may even encounter some of the park's resident wildlife, such as swamp wallabies or yellow-tailed black cockatoos.
Arriving at Minerva Pool itself is a truly magical experience. This pristine waterhole with its unique sandstone features and small stone island will leave you in awe. Take a moment to unpack a picnic lunch and bask in the tranquility as you watch the waterfall gracefully cascade into the rockpool below.
It is important to note that Minerva Pool holds immense cultural importance to the Dharawal People. As such, the Tharawal Local Aboriginal Land Council kindly requests that visitors respect the sacredness of this site. Only women and children are permitted to enter the waters of Minerva Pool.

"easy walk to the pools. if swimming, walk slowly across the left side (it’s a bit of a climb) and use the rocks at the back of the pool to lower yourself in safely. really handy if you’re wearing some water/aqua shoes. middle of the pool is deep, there’s a few rocks and fallen branch that you can use to take a break from treading water. beautiful quiet swim."
"we loved this short hiking place surrounded by natural beauty and natural pool covered from rocky mountain. Walking path is not hard but not good for prams or little kids. One more things only kids and women allowed to swim due to cultural value."
"There is car parking then you have to walk 25 min to get to the Minerva pool. Should have plenty of water with you and wear suitable shoes for long walking. Even though it was nice place but people leave there rubbish and there is bad smell around the pool"
