“Great for little kids. It was packed today. Totally fenced. Good to see the councils are putting more thought and planning into the playgrounds. No pics today I was with toddles and other small children around. But great. 1 issue the what was call the merry go round when I was a kid has been bought back. But it's embedded in the ground and is extremely hard to push. Getting minimal speed up is all but impossible. Nice try but fail.”

“Loved our stay here. What a location! Right on the lake, shady trees, heaps of bird life, great network of walking tracks adjacent to the van park, and cheap drinks at the Wangi Workers Club. What more could you ask for! Thanks to Jo from the office for adding so much to my knowledge of the local area. We will be back!!”

“Multifunctional Park with good facilities and plenty of parking. Not too windy either considering it's ontop of the hill.”

“Cute and safe spot to swim and float around- great for kids and all ages! This place has greatly improved since the council dredging. A calm little sandy spot to enjoy, full of little fish and minimal wash from the channel. No toilet or shower facility. Very easy access from the car park plus an accessible ramp. There a few sharp rocks / debris around so just be careful. Quite packed but pick your timing, sometimes we have it to ourselves!”

“Swansea is a wonderful park. The management are great and have done a terrific job with the entire park, which shows with the clean and stylish amenities, maintained sites, pools, playgrounds and surrounding grounds. Will definitely be back!!”

“Lovely little area for the family, boats and general down time”

“Overall a fantastic place to holiday at. Great family friendly park. Some little things like the washing and dryer costing $5 a load of washing was a bit hefty. Cost $10 a load of washing and it wouldn’t dry it fully. We didn’t have a clothes airer in our cabin. Other than those two minor things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We wish the fishing was better this time of year in the lake.”

“Glenrock offers many trails and tracks from the novice through to the advanced walker/runner/hiker. I love that it offers stunning views, shade to retreat from the sun and a variety of wildlife including an echidna as I approached the beach! Any person should come out for a stroll. Busy times are weekends as there are many groups rock climbing and running and the sorts. I would suggest afternoon time but leave yourself plenty of time to get home and to not be out in the dark!”

“Green Point Foreshore Reserve is a beautiful location that offers stunning views of the water and surrounding nature. It's a great spot for a picnic, a walk, or just to relax and take in the scenery. The area is well-maintained and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. If you're looking for a peaceful place to unwind and connect with nature, Green Point Foreshore Reserve is definitely worth a visit!”

“Beautiful views over Swansea channel and surrounding islands. Great to watch the boats go by. Picnic tables, children's playground, maintained grassy areas to throw a blanket down and enjoy. Public toilets with disabled access, boat ramp directly into the channel, great for kids to swim and fish.”

“Wild horses and assorted animals will make this camping trip a memorable experience. Camping here has been banned now but when I was a kid we used to have some amazing times there.”

“Beautiful, quiet lookout over the ocean behind Newcastle. Just a shame it was a bit smoky this day from all the bushfires, as you don't get the full sense of how lovely it is.”
