“Firstly, I understand that perhaps thousands of claims would have been made daily and when things go through seamlessly, the last thing the customer would think to do is come here to write a review so here is a positive review for those considering taking up pet insurance. I strongly believe that I’m not the only one with a positive experience. I took up pet insurance for my puppy when we first got her at about 2 months old. Before she turned 1, she had somehow managed to slip off her collar, chewed it into multiple pieces and ingested everything except the buckle, which to be honest was the only clue we had when a few days later she stopped eating, was lethargic and started to whimper in a lot of pain. We brought her to our vet for X-rays and discovered multiple areas of foreign body. After many hours in surgery, the vets managed to clear everything out from three locations in the stomach and intestines. She was then sent to a 24/7 emergency ICU for pets for further monitoring. Our vet had helped us make all our claims directly on our behalf and we didn’t have to deal with PetSure at all, it was all made so easy for us and we truly appreciate that. This was also the case for subsequent vet visits which amounted to bills above our excess from follow up visits and other unrelated incidents. I’ll just say.. there are many great stories out there and only the negatives seem to flock here. Wish every pet owner well and definitely highly advocate for pet insurance after our experience. It gave us peace of mind to know we didn’t have to suddenly be out of pocket by thousands of dollars. We never want to have to be in a position to choose whether to proceed with treatment or not due to financial constraint. That’s what pet insurance is there for.”
