“This place is beyond amazing, if you want a quality peaceful luxury glamping trip in the peaks then look no fuhrer. It was easily booked through their website, called them 6 hours ahead of arrival time and they had our hot tub warm, fire in the Yurt on and lit up with candles and fairy lights, it was easy to find though the post code takes you to stoney lane it's a few hundred yards further down a right turn if your coming from Ashbourne way but well sign posted. The hosts were very friendly, I think it was Emma who introduced us to the Yurt, we also met a nice chap cleaning the place and setting away our hot tub the following day on our return from a walk in stunning Dovedale. We got a tasty breakfast hamper with amazing sausage, bacon, eggs, bread, fresh milk and cookies, all locally sourced, if not from the farms adjacent. The Yurt is well stocked with 2 ring hob, a stove which can be cooked on, utensils, cutlery, glasses and plates etc. There is also a kitchen and immaculate shower block with resupplys of consumables, you also have you own immaculate compost loo in a shed. They have just about thought of everything, and the fine attention to detail is simply fab, little things like fresh flowers make all the difference. The Swedish hottub was brilliant and easy to use, able to keep temps up to 40c in cold windy weather. The views are stunning of the surrounding area. I booked this for my girls 50th, she cried when she stepped through the door absolutely blown away, I could not recommend the place highly enough, we stopped in Elderflower, its out of the way in a corner so no one is ever coming passed the Yurt, it's worth the price.”

“If you love visiting gardens this is the creme de la creme. A garden for all seasons. It is a series of garden rooms.The tearoom is lovely too. Good simple food at reasonable prices.”

“This is a real hidden gem. Beautiful fond gardens set in a small quarry. It’s in the middle of a park, behind a wall. There are more bedding plants that I’ve ever seen in one place at once and the smell is gorgeous. There is a small lake with lots of beautifully placed tree specimens. Doesn’t take long to walk around but it is a very popular place to sit and there are loads of benches.”

“I came to this salon after not being to a salon for a long time. Kim was super friendly and we had a great chat while she did my hair. The salon has a nice community vibe with people popping over to chat. I only had a cut but Kim still taught me how to blow dry my hair. Absolutely loved how my cur turned out. Kim made sure to explain what we were doing and why and listened to all my concerns. I had a fringe cut in for the first time in a long time and she was able to read my body language and offer to cut it shorter without me needing to ask. Perfect cuppa as well! Super impressed. “I moved from Manchester almost 2 years ago, at first I tried continuing to use my nail tech in Manchester before trying to find a salon to use here. I googled and found THOB and read the reviews, the Instagram page and decided to try them, I’m so glad I did. The ladies are so lovely and kind, they’re also very attentive. I originally was coming in for acrylic nails having had a bad BIAB experience (breaking nails etc) and they’ve recommended plexigel (similar to BIAB but stronger and better) my nails are now so healthy and long. The ladies, especially Lauren, always do a fab job and I’m regularly complemented on my nails. There’s a nice relaxed atmosphere when you’re there at the salon. Can’t recommend them enough.”

“This is my closest National trust property, I have lived near here for my entire life but never visited, my parents would never take us here & now I know why it's a beautiful home but it gets extremely packed out, 3 car parks full by 11, I believe it gets half a million visitors a year, not really our sort of place we prefer quieter places so you can take in & Enjoy your surroundings. The house inside is absolutely amazing, it has a feminine side & a masculine side, The picture Gallery has a wonderful Glass roof & at the the top of the stairs a glass dome. It's well worth a visit to see at least just once for its magnificent splendor, but it was far too crowded for us. Most people seem to use it as a dog walking place & don't even bother with the house. The kitchen basement area was open & showed a really good example of how the downstairs lived, really good recipe book for sale in the kitchen.”
