“Just back from a 5 day break to Weston Super Mare, couldn't fault anything food cleanliness and entertainment excellent and the gesture as our driver was dropping us back at home by giving us a paper carrier bag containing a pint of milk and a small loaf was really appreciated. This was our first holiday with Yorkshire Rose but most certainly won't be our last. Thank you”

“We visited as a family of 4 ( two children under 4) and I have to say it was a pleasant dining experience. The service as very friendly and speedy and the staff were brilliant with the kids. The food was delicious and very fresh. Especially the pizza which was amazing. Kids under 8 dine for £4.99 each which was amazing and they loved the food. Me and my partner had a pizza each and a side, I think we could have shared one but they gave us a pizza box to take home for the left overs. Really recommend this restaurant and will hopefully return in the near future. Made a fantastic change to the usual chains in Meadowhall, to which we visited.”

“Ok. Listen up, because things are getting serious. Jimmy's Kitchen was, without a doubt, one of the nicest Turkish restaurants I've been to. No, scrap that. It was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! And I'm bringing out the big boys with the hyperbole now. Atmosphere: cosy, authentic. Service: excellent, friendly (smiles). Food: wow! Look at those bad boys! I mean go LOOK AT THE PICTURES. It's ok, I'll wait. ... Now you're back. That was the perfect mix of chicken, garlic and mushroom. Drool (is a half hour top early to go back?) A frankly sensational lamb meatball and potato dish. But that's not even the best bit. Literally every item of on that plate was yummy. The rice - freaking delicious. The salad - that dressing is incredible!!! Even the bread was sooo nommy. The whole thing was a foodgasm I've not had since, well Tuesday... Ahem... OK so it was yesterday. But let's not quibble over things I've put in my mouth this week... GO TO JIMMY'S. IT. WAS. RIDICULOUS. Five stars.”

“My wife and I visited The Ship Inn today with our little boy and baby. It has been a couple of years since we last came and it has changed ownership since then. I wasn't sure what to expect as I remember how the quality of food used to be really good. However, we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious and I just love how they've kept some of the meals that used to be on the menu. I used to love the broccoli, potato and cheese bake and was so happy to see it still on the menu. My son had a mini pie and it wasn't until it came out that I remembered how they used to do their pies with suet...the have kept it like this. My son ate the lot and really enjoyed it. He's asked several times already, when we can go back for more pie. Staff were really friendly too. Had a chat with the owner and he seemed really friendly and I do hope it works out for him. He did seem a bit rushed off his feet but I understand that at times like these, it's not always sustainable to have table staff in the event it is a quiet day. Really good experience and really good HOMEMADE pub grub. Will definitely be returning.”

“July 2022 What an amazing place, the food was amazing 3 kids 3 pizzas, I had seafood platter from the specials board it was out of this world! It has been a long time since I have eaten in a restaurant and been impressed! Added bonus that the kids went on the swing over the stream, the sun was shining, staff could not do enough for us and the dog was welcome outside too!”

Well I was very impressed by the setup that I also got curry and a couple of chicken goujons, I asked for a large haddock and by George I really did get a large Haddock, I was going to order a Yorkshire fishcake as I have never tried one, glad that I didn't now as we couldn't finish off all the the stuff we had ordered. The food was to a very high standard, and as we are coming back to this area again soon I'm sure that I will be calling in to get a Yorkshire fishcake with my meal . “You can not beat the Chequers Inn in Whiston for its Sunday dinners. Not only is the food great but the service there is second to none. Ring and book a table and they will enquire as to which meat you will be wanting with your meal. Then you are greater at the door, shown to your table, your first drinks are brought to you and your meal arrives two minutes later. Perfection.”
