North Devon Wake Park
“Great fun for the family (of a certain age!) From an hour of activity to the whole day of different activities. (We drove through a field of sheep)”
Water & Warmth Services
“My Husband and I received a fantastic service from water and warmth, they called us to let us know when they were coming out and when they arrived they started work straight away. The plumber found we had a blockage so he took almost the whole system apart to find it, and he did not give up until he found and cleared it. he spent all afternoon on this problem and when he put everything back together he found a small split in one of the pipes, instead of saying that he would come back the next day because he did not have this pipe with him, he went to a store and got one so we could have hot water and heating that night. Very grateful thank you.”
Decoy Country Park
“Beautiful, shady walks around the lake. Fishing allowed with permit at the lake but not at Magazine pool. Large open fields for sports, picnics and dog exercise. Play area with water fun for young children. Kiosk for snacks and ice creams. Very clean and well maintained park(help to keep it that way by using the litter bins located around the park!). Recommended”

Young's Park
“Lovely place well hidden ..I would say as not many holiday makers but many local people in this exquisite cafe called Cantina just next to the park with wonderful food and lovely staff. Just behind me the kitchen with all young and well prepared chefs at work. Food is well priced and big portions ..and full of flavor. A must to visit. I loved it.”

Victoria Park
“A beautiful park to go for a leisurely stroll or sit on one of the many seats available in the sun or the shade & admire the lovely lake, or the picturesque streams, there is a skateboard park as well as a children's playground area here too, whenever I visit, I never want to leave. Its close distance to the large multi storey carpark, Paignton shops & the seafront & Pier.”
Brixton Caravan & Camping Park

West Park Chinese Takeaway
“4 years ago I had a bad experience which resulted in a bad review. Gotta say, the improvement is great. Was looking for new tasty Chinese after my local was under new management. Chips tasted great with the Chinese salt (table salt just doesn't work the same way), chow mein is tasty and not as greasy as most places. The curry sauce isn't too hot and the rice was fluffy. Think I just found my new favourite Chinese eatery ”
Dartmoor National Park
“Moved to Devon two and a half years ago and have fallen in love with Dartmoor. If you're going to spend any significant time here, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Dartmoor 365,it will point you in the direction of many wonderful sights”
Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park
“Quiet and peaceful luxury holiday park in a fantastic location . Located a few steps from Bovisand beach and the South West Coastal Path. Short drive to Mountbatten with free parking where you can access Plymouth Centre easily via the foot passenger ferry . Plenty of places to visit in the area if you can drag yourself away from Bovisand. Can't wait to go back.”
Cargreen Park
“Hidden gem, very limited parking. Lovely place to take the kids to stretch their legs. Amazing views of the river.”
Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park
“Outstanding views across to Plymouth and the RN dockyards. Wonderful woodland walks with both natural and exotic plants. We were impressed with the many activities organised, the Frisbee course is a must for families and groups but beware it is a real challenge! The Orangery is a delightful area and cakes supplied in the Stable cafe are a must. The park was preparing for the 'Green Man' event hence the photos I have attached. All in all a wonderful excursion, easily accessible from the Stonehouse ferry which runs regularly at very affordable prices.”
Snapes Point National Trust Car Park

The Meadows (Tavistock Park)
“Fantastic place for children to play. Lot of room to play and have fun. At the park there is a nice little shop where you can get hot food and drinks. At the side of the playground, there is a canal with wild birds eagerly waiting to be fed. Ducks, pigeons, seagulls, and few others are there taking their share of food. Car parking is very nearby with a lot of space. Park is in Tavistok near the town centre. We are going there again.”
Stover Country Park
“Very relaxing place to get some fresh air. Plenty of place to sit and chill. Squirrels everywhere, good place to take photos of birds with good cameras. A lot of people bringing their dogs for walks which was really nice to see.”
River Dart Country Park
“Just came back from a 5 day camp with my husband and four boys. Wow what a wonderful time we had. The boys had something to do at all times and didn’t have a moment of boredom. All the staff were wonderful, especially Hazel and the chef in the cafe who went out their way to accommodate our extremely fussy eater. The food was wonderful there. Only downside was that the kids had cash pocket money they wanted to spend but everything apart from the arcade was card only. Great shower facilities also, cleaned every day. So much fun to be had without paying extra, although this was our main holiday so we paid for extra activities. Our older boys especially loved the bike park. They rode from 10-4 and said it was the best day ever! Thank you River Dart we will be booking for next year soon!”
West Park Chippy
