Restaurant 1903
“Wow. What a gem. Christina and her staff made our visit truly memorable. The food was superb - a choice of Japanese, Chinese and Western quisines that won't drain the budget. We opted for Japanese having spent time in Japan, and the food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. I am hardtpressed to remember a better meal. The service was quick and Christina's wine recommendations ideal. Free parking in a secure car park was included. This is a must try and we plan to return for a repeat performance in the near future. Thank you Restaurant 1903 Perth.”
The Bonsai
“I recently dined at this cozy Japanese restaurant and had an amazing experience. The place had a tidy, rustic vibe which added to the overall charm. The service was very welcoming and our orders came out quickly. We decided to try a few dishes from their menu and we were not disappointed. The pork wrapped broccolini, BBQ unagi eel, and teriyaki chicken were all incredibly tasty. The portion sizes were just right, and everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I must also mention the great customer service we received. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the owner, Isaac, seemed to remember his customers' preferences. It's evident that they take pride in their service and make sure that everyone feels welcomed. Although the waiting time for the food could be improved a little, the overall experience was still highly enjoyable. The restaurant had a great atmosphere - lively enough to create a vibrant ambiance, but not so loud that it hindered conversation. For those looking for a quality dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for parties of two. Despite the slightly smaller serving sizes, the emphasis here is on fine dining and creating a memorable night out. One thing to note is the availability of free parking through CPP Roe Street after 6 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This is a nice perk for those driving to the restaurant. In conclusion, this place has been our go-to family dining spot for decades, and for good reason. The food is consistently delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic meal or a night out with friends. Make sure to try their special set course meal for a delightful culinary journey. alex”
Sumiya Gin
“Our first visit to Sumiya Gin and also our first time eating wagyu beef and it's on a hibachi charcoal grill. It's a great experience even though there's a slight hiccup with our reservation but nevertheless we give them a chance and they proved their worth! The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The food is absolutely amazing and the beef melts in the mouth. Service is delightful and staff are friendly, fast and efficient. Booking is strongly recommended as this restaurant is rather small and very popular.”
Tosaka Ramen Bar
“The gyoza is the best I have tasted so far. Ramen tastes great with the amazing chicken broth. Although the portion is small and the ramen is not rich with toppings. The service staff is friendly and greets you in Japanese. It can get crowded, so make sure you reserve a spot or come early.”
James Parker Sushi & Sake
“A true Perth foodie experience… James Parker is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Perth. From the moment you walk in, it is a wonderful experience with great staff and atmosphere. The sake flight is great and good value, the sashimi fresh and perfect, the tooth fish amazing. I love this experience”
Izakaya Grill
“Love the ambience , though may be a bit too noisy when busy. A little bar that offers a range of liquor. Couldn’t fault the takoyaki and the lamb chop just slid off the bones really easily. Absolutely delish. Had too many options , a little pricey but will definitely come again to try the rest of the menu.”
Is Donburi Dining Room
“We loved this. My boyfriend has been constantly bringing it up since we went a week ago, saying it’s the most satisfying meal he’s ever had.”
Noren Sushi x Skewer Bar
“absolutely amazing experience, I tried oden for the first time and the flavours were simple and fantastic, had a calpis sour (calpis mixed with shochu) and the best karaage chicken I ever had!! the atmosphere is chill and feels authentic, and the staff are extremely attentive. you order your dishes and can call the staff through the ipad at each seat, I love the convenience. $60 all up, but I had a good amount of leftovers to take home after. there is no sushi train currently but I'll be keen to come back to try their other sushi dishes. cannot recommend this place enough!! have since been back to try their salmon sushi, chicken skewers, takoyaki, renkon chips and other drinks like apple vodka, superb perfect quality and taste! my friend tried the cheese oysters and said they tasted weird, but I didn't try them.”

“I eat here often and I enjoy it every time. I always get the chicken katsu bento. The chicken is lovely and crispy, and the other items in the bento box are all tasty too. They also do a great miso soup. One last mention- I always get my food really really quickly, so this place is perfect for a quick meal when I'm in a hurry.”

“Had the premium buffet which includes meat, seafood, soups, vegetables, dessert, sushi, sashimi and fried stuffs. The marble wagyu, pork belly, sashimi etc were yum and lots of options to select.”
