The Windber WalkWorks network offers walking routes in the area, including the route at Windber Recreation Park, with plans for more routes in the future. Nestled along the picturesque Great Allegheny Passage in Fort Hill, Pennsylvania, Pinkerton High Bridge is a must-visit tourist attraction that offers breathtaking views and a rich historical backdrop. This scenic bridge is a part of the Somerset County Recreation & Trails Association's (SCRTA) extensive network of trails, originally established in 1991 with the ambitious goal of completing the Great Allegheny Passage from the Mason-Dixon Line to Confluence and Ohiopyle State Park. These 43 miles have since become one of the most beloved and visually stunning sections of the trail.
