Owned and operated by an African American woman, Gather Place Museum is dedicated to unveiling the often-overlooked narratives of Yardley Borough, Bucks County, and the Quaker founders of Pennsylvania, with a special focus on African American and Women's history. Since our opening on September 10, 2022, we have transformed into a living history museum, offering a diverse array of exhibits, documents, photographs, documentaries, and interactive history lessons.

The Barns-Brinton House, located at 630 Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, is a popular tourist attraction steeped in history. The house was built in 1714 by blacksmith William Barns as a tavern on the major route between Maryland and Philadelphia. After Barns' death, the property was purchased by the Brinton family who owned it for 100 years. Today, the house is owned by the Chadds Ford Historical Society and operates as a museum, offering seasonal tours, historical demonstrations, educational programs, and events.
