"It pains me to leave this review. I've ordered from OVF for years and referred numerous family members during this time. While I was never a big fan of their beef, their pork has always been amazing. There are just soooooo many mistakes with their orders. I have family that is allergic to maple and their ham used to be maple ham. I asked to substitute different product for the maple products but I was shipped all the maple items. I had another order where 2 pounds of coppa steaks were omitted. I had an order I had to follow up on after not hearing anything for three weeks. I spent $140 on a Thanksgiving turkey and was assured it came with all the giblets so I could make my giblet gravy. Needless to say there were no giblets and was told they had an issue with their butcher. Again, a $140 turkey. Had to drive all over town to find giblets the night before Thanksgiving. Good times. Now, I'll admit, through all these mistakes they did make it right in the end. It's just such a hassle. I was repeatedly told they had lost some employees and we're trying to train new ones. Okay, I kept on ordering. A few months ago, I ordered eight pounds of organic ground beef. When it arrived, nothing indicated it t was organic. After going back and forth, I came to find out they made a mistake and didn't send me organic beef. Their solution at the time was just crediting me the price difference for the two products. I was stuck with close to $100 in meat I didn't order. This bothered me the more I thought about it. I was surprised nothing was thrown in or credited besides the price difference. Moving on now. I recently ordered two 7- lb rib roasts, a 4.5-5 lb Boston Butt and six pounds of chicken wings. When the box arrived, it was so light my 84 year-old mother was able to lift it and bring it inside. I said this can't be right, and sure enough, there was no Boston Butt and none of the six pounds of chicken wings I ordered. I sent an email and there initial customer service was great. It's the follow up that is consistently lacking. I was told they'd forward this issue to the owner to see if they would add any additional compensation. I said that's great as I still felt annoyed over the previous ground beef incident. So, a couple days later I received the six pounds of chicken wings but instead of the 4.5-5 pound Boston Butt, I received two 2.5 pound chunks of butt. This isn't what I ordered. I ordered this specifically for a family dinner over Easter and didn't want to present two small roasts and have four end pieces. I simply want what I ordered which was the 4.5-5 lb. cut. I contacted customer service again and asked for the owner to call me as I'm frustrated and scratching my head over this latest delivery. This was last Wednesday. I left my number and said I'd he available between 12-430p either Thursday or Friday. Take your pick. They said no problem and they'd forward this to him. Well, I didn't hear anything, even gave it the weekend and Monday and still nothing. No missed calls, voicemails, or even an email saying we're busy but haven't forgotten you. Anything would be acceptable accept for hearing nothing. Like I said, I love their pork products and have supported them through the years even with their numerous mistakes. But, I can only take so much aggravation and the fact that they screwed up the ground beef order and didn't really make it right, screwed up the next order as well and then screwed up the order again as opposed to fixing it and then never getting back to me has brought me to the point where I'm done. This is great pork if you're willing to have 50% accuracy on your orders and terrible follow up in regards to your issues."

Exceeded all expectations after receiving butcher box and a few other online meat services. Don't sleep on oregon Valley!"

"My boyfriend has been cooking our meals from Oregon Valley Farms high quality organic grass fed meat since November and besides it tasting amazing. I can actually tell that paying a little more for the organic grass fed is really worth it. Im always looking at how to eat healthier and the meat was the last step for me to take in changing my diet because it cost more. I’m a type 1 diabetic and I do not have to use as much insulin, my sugar stays stable longer, and I’m not as bloated feeling at all because of the balance of the omegas. Processed meats can damage your prostrate and your pancreas because of the chemicals. It is very much worth it!!"

"$200 dollars for 1 frozen tomahawk steak that weighs 2 pounds. Am I out of touch with real life or is that extremely expensive?? I can get a grass fed tomahawk steak, cooked for me by a chef, and served to me, at Del Monico’s in New York, for less than that. What the?? The guy also tells me this steak could feed 4-5 people. What? In what world would a 1.25lb steak feed 4-5 people? Only reason I got it, is because I got a gift card to here. I thought for some reason I was getting 2 steaks, which still seemed expensive. When they handed me 1 steak, not even big, I left confused and baffled they charged that amount of money for 1 steak. Never again"
