Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront, an IHG Hotel

"We love this place, especially after Holiday Inn has taken it over. Nicely updated rooms, great for the price. Nice view of the river, and they've greatly increased their security presence since changing hands from being the Red Lion. Now when we stay there we don't have to worry about our car being stolen or catalytic converter disappearing while we're in our room."

"Great place to stay!! I only stayed here 1 night and it was perfect. Every staff member was absolutely lovely, and the room was great!! I especially loved the little kitchenette situation with an extra sink, microwave, coffee/tea maker, and mini fridge! And the bathroom was great, loved the big shower! Also loved that there was a ton of outlets, including usb-a ones! (My only hope is that at some point they can reinforce the doors that join suites together to make them a little more soundproof so that sound doesn’t come through them as easily)"

"The staff were very friendly and quite happy to assist in anyway. The rooms were very nice, with clean and comfortable mattresses. The bathroom was clean, but the bathroom did stay cold while showering. Unfortunately, the problems I ran into, were on most parts the hotels fault. They only have one washer and dryer for a conference center. I was called obscenities twice while using the washer, both times by the same man. The next night, the hotel had a night time event in the ballroom and admitted to pulling security in the lot, but refusing to do anything about the generator and gas cans that were stolen off the back of a company vehicle, do to negligence and failure to ensure safety. In the end, the woman checking me out offered me fifty dollars off, then didn't take it off."

"This hotel was perhaps one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been to. The staff even went out of their way and got me a really good view of Mt. Hood when I didn’t even request it. The food was great too. However, there were guests yelling right in front of my room at 2 am for like 2 whole hours. It took me calling the front desk twice before this issue was addressed. Luckily, they did send security up to keep them quiet, and this problem didn’t happen the rest of my stay. I was probably just unlucky in that case though. Overall, great hotel and would recommend."

"Nice hotel with beautiful views. The river view is so beautiful. Right next to the bridge. There is a restaurant in house, that's a bit pricey, but food was good. It's also right across the street from Taco Bell and Burger King. Very comfy beds. They do not have the sofa packs in the rooms, which made it a bit irritating having to wait for someone to come and "make it". I didn't want anyone in my room, so I had to request them to leave it outside the door. The shower was huge, but it needed a thorough cleaning and recaulking. It has the potential to be gorgeous, but it just looked hideous and not put together well, maintenance can do better (room 244 in case management is reading this review). Overall, I loved my stay. I do plan on coming back next time we come back."
