"My husband passed away on July 2, 2021. Our stone was already in place at the time. The wrong death date was put on his marker. I have personally gone in the office 4 times. Someone took my information and my number. Haven't heard from anyone. Don't ask me to email because nothing will be taken care of."
"My baby daughter's head stone was overgrown and I had to clean a bunch of dirt off of it. They do not take proper care of the grave stones. I spent a lot of money on her flowers and they have been stolen. I went to the Sheriffs office and was told they receive many complaints about people stealing flowers and unkept head stones at this cemetery. They refuse to set up a video camera despite these complaints and heartbreaks. It is very sad and I'm highly disappointed . Update: 2024 Vase has been broken off so now I can't put flowers down anyway. Happy 16th Birthday baby girl.. They need to fix her headstone."
"Both sets of grandparents, my parents, an aunt, and a cousin are buried here. The vase on one of my grandparent's headstone was broken off and bent off the headstone and is no longer able to be used. It has been like that for 3 years. I've complained multiple times, and I'm always told a work order was put in. But there has never been an answer or a result. Back when my dad died in 2018, his headstone was never ordered until we went off multiple times and started showing up unannounced at the office. He died in October of 18 and in May of 19, it was finally ordered but wasnt laid until July...with the WRONG BIRTHDATE. Thankfully, the date plate was fixed in a timely manner. The same "never ordered" thing happened with my Aunt/cousin's headstone. Promises of ordering with it taking months and months to even get there. My mom died over 3 months ago. Her headstone was already there but was propped up by its own vase for the burial. It STILL sits just like that. Today is Mother's Day, and I had to BUY a vase to put flowers at her headstone that has a vase that was purchased for the ridiculous amount of money that they charge for them my mom'sburial site has not been touched since it was covered with dirt, except to add her death date plate. No grass seed, straw, NOTHING over the dirt except the decorations I left there at Easter. There was grass growing up through the hole where the vase is supposed to be set. And I don't trust that the headstone won't be damaged sitting up like it is because they have already carelessly broken the vase on my grandparents' headstone. My family has spent THOUSANDS with this cemetery, with 2 generations on both sides of my family being buried there. But that stops with me. I will NOT allow my husband to bury me in the same place as my parents and grandparents because i don't want my children to have to go through the same things I'm going through. And it's a shame that when I visit my mother on the first mother's day without her, I have to leave with anger because there are so many things wrong."
"This cemetery has poor customer service and will take your money, not communicate and won’t even order the product you paid for without persistence. I paid in full for a marker for my mother on 6/10/23, no communication from the cemetery, after months of attempts to get in contact with employees, in September 2023 I found out the marker was never ordered, blaming it on staffing issues, delaying the install. Then couldn't install because of it was getting cold and the ground was freezing. The temporary marker that was promised at the time of full payment still has not been placed. No time frame on when it will be installed. At this point I don’t even know if the cemetery has it in their possession. I wouldn’t bother wasting your time with this place unless you want repeated heartbreak."
"!!! Please read the whole review. Husband passed November 2018 Initially informed of mixed opinions. Went with this location for the serene environment since I knew I'd be visiting often. I recommend bringing someone who is not grieving as deeply, to listen. They can help retain details. (I forgot that decorations get thrown away a short time after Christmas) They improved the roads somewhat, they do deteriorate with snow/salt in winter and likely damaged by the weight of cement trucks. Lawn care seems decent (at that time a seperate company mowed but not sure how often) -No idea who is responsible for the pavement, Butler or Stonemor but upkeep yearly would be nice. **reminder to staff** *Just be honest, even if it's bad news like delays. All you can do is provide the correct information. Do not guarantee a time frame but an estimate. **reminder to families** *They are human too and mistakes happen. They deal with high emotions from multiple grieving families everyday. ***I prefer e-mail so you can calmly request your inquiry. It gives them time to research the issue and approach it in a detailed manner.* I found patience and understanding on both sides goes a long way. They were always polite to our family. The lady I dealt with at the front desk genuinely cared. The manager at the time was helpful but harder to connect with emotionally because she was so busy. *In regards to contracts, get a qoute. Read carefully and don't rush yourselves. *You're allowed to wait on the headstone design if it's paid for, do not feel pressured. You can have personal pictures engraved. If you pay for the largest stone they can adjust the size on the example display when designing. *Keep all your copies of everything and payment receipts in a safe place. *They can't control the quarry so delays may happen. They also often need a certain amount of stones to order the cement for placement which can cause a delay. Depending on season the ground needs a lot of time to settle before placing a stone. *Refunds for paying in full on time are not in their control but the company that owns them. I didn't notice the names were on opposite sides on the back of our headstone, (not their fault) I said I wanted it the same as the front. Maybe someone experienced can keep an eye out for that to prevent others from making my mistake. I choose to view it like two became one when we were married :] I hope this information can help both sides."
