β OpenThe Monroe Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Monroe, Ohio. Located at 10 East Elm Street, the Society operates and maintains the Museum Building, the historical 1910 Building General Store, and the reconstructed Pioneer Log Cabin. We encourage historical research, support special commemorations, and maintain public displays of historical interest. If you have a love for history and community involvement, we welcome you to join us as a volunteer. There are many opportunities available, from assisting with special events to becoming a member of the Board of Directors. Visit us on the 1st Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. May to October, or by appointment.
