"This place is a gem! We were traveling by and love real places that aren't chains. We were all very satisfied with the environment, food, drinks and service. That homemade bread was absolutely amazing. We all left very happy. Our only complaint is this place isn't closer to home so we could visit regularly!"
"Had the prime rib...it was excellent. Not the best I've ever had but definitely in the top 10. Red skin massed potatoes were very flavorful and the union rings rock, very krispy and delicious. The service was excellent fast and friendly!!! My brudda got the fish n chips with fries and he said it was great except for the tartar sauce, he said it was rather bland but the waitress took it upon herself to put a new one together adding horse reddish sauce and such to add some flavor to it. Very attentive and helpful staff! I'd highly recommend anyone to stop in and enjoy a great meal and atmosphere."
"The food tasted okay, but we were rushed through our meal. Our appetizer came out, piping hot breaded zucchini. Before we could even touch the plates our salads come out. Barely finish the salads and our entrees arrive. Each person in our party ordered steak. The steaks were not cooked to the temperature we ordered. Our party was not even finished eating their entree when the waitress comes by and wants to know if we want dessert, we said not at this time. She comes back with the bill and tells us she'll take it when we're ready. We were in and out within 45 minutes it was like speed eating. I think their goal was to turn as many tables as they could on a Friday night. Everything happened so quickly we didn't even notice that we didn't receive any bread with our meal as other tables did."
"We were passing through town and decided to try this place. It's off the beaten path for tourists, but it is well worth the few minutes extra to get here. The service was fantastic. After driving for six hours or so, it was nice to be greeted by the hostess with a smile. Our server was also upbeat and cheerful, and since we dropped in closer to closing time, I suspect that she was at the end of her shift. I had fish and chips, and my wife had glazed salmon with sweet potato fries. Top notch. I had a draft beer, but I think there was a full bar available if you are inclined. There is plenty of elbow room, inside and outdoor eating. Since it is tucked away in East Cambridge, the place has a truly local feel. Highly recommended."
