“stopped by on a Sunday night, was fairly busy but service was still great, guy at the counter seemed like he was the manager. He ran the place great, ensured customers were happy and helped us decide what to eat. The food portions are pretty standard, when we went the restaurant was closed so we got bar food. The crumbled schnitzel was awesome (and good size) and would recommend the blue cod (however it is kinda small compared to other meals).”

“Certainly a fun place to spend your first year as a student. The biggest university hall out of the lot, you get to meet a lot of new people and make plenty of friends. The grounds are so big you can easily get lost when you are new there. The rooms are small as expected but that's all you really need as a student. The toilets are unisex which can take a bit of getting used to. The food was very good and it was fun staying on the 8th floor which had a great view!”

“I am unsure if those posting negative reviews have actually stayed at Allan Court Motels. I have stayed there twice in the last couple of months and found: - staff to be friendly and efficient - unit to be spotlessly clean - heating to be more than adequate for a cold spell in Dunedin - nice plush carpet underfoot - excellent bathroom with very good heating. I would recommend anyone to stay here.”

“I am only marking 'atmosphere' down because our table of 4 was the only one occupied. We had 4 different meals and all were delicious. This restaurant deserves to be better supported. The decor has recently been revamped and is really nice. The menu is comprehensive and reasonably priced. There is also a BYO option for the budget conscious. I had the Chicken Rogan Josh... superb!”

“Visited Vans Albany for the 1st time and I was blown away by the level of customer service. Emma and Tait went above and beyond to make sure that I felt welcome and valued as a customer. I had a baby and a toddler with me and they were also very helpful in assisting my toddler try on some shoes whilst I attended to the baby. Good range of styles too in store. Highly recommend! Will definitely be visiting a lot more in the near future.”
