The Deco
● Open“We attended the Afternoon Tea with Santa. Fantastic experience and great value for money. Food was perfect children's options were great for the littler ones. Father Christmas was amazing. Straight from the North Pole. Interacted with each child in the room and no one was left out. The gifts that the children received were packed full of value and actual play value. Including a named water bottle. Other great extras included being able to take our own photos (with the help of one the Elves as camera person ) all the staff helped with the magic and it was a great experience.”

The Core at Corby Cube
● Closed“I visited The Core theatre further first time and was very impressed by the way the seating was laid out and the fact that you got a good view of the stage from wherever you were seated and that you could actually see over the people's heads in front of you. On arrival the staff / volunteers were very helpful. The bar area is fairly small but the staff manage to keep things going very well. Drinks can be ordered for the interval and are priced very fairly. If coming after 1800hrs parking is available in the International swimming pool 5min walk front the entrance at a nighttime cost of 20p. The machine takes cash or card. In my opinion a bargain price to park considering the cost locally say in Northampton.”

MK Gallery
● Closed“Went to see the Vivian Maier exhibition. I'd been to the Theatre here, but not the gallery. It's a good space, well lit, in four linked areas. Theres a spacious shop and an excellent cafe. On Tuesday the chef was on top form, whizzing up soup and getting the food out with enormous aplomb, coffee good too. The Vivian Maier exhibition is on till end September 2022, and is really very good. I've a book of some of her work, but seeing it in larger prints, with the colour pieces, some movies and recordings, and the supporting text was fantastic.”

Queen Mother Theatre
● Closed“It's a classic. If it were more stereotypical, it would be satire. The auditorium is good and the stage is versatile. They put on great shows with excellent actors and also showcase the young thespian talent of Hitchin for parental applause. I recommend those of you with the choice to opt for the former. Please also take cash to buy light refreshments from the hatch-served snack shop. And give them my love and thanks again for when I'd forgotten mine ♥️”

Vue
● Open“Vue is by far my favourite cinema. Not only are the prices great but also the general atmosphere. The cinema is generally kept tidy and is never too crowded. Only minus is that the screening rooms tend to be freezing, but then again I guess it’s a good thing in the summer weather.”

Masque Theatre
● ClosedCastle Way, Barton Seagrave, Kettering NN15 6SW, United Kingdom“This was my first experience of the Masque Theatre and I was very impressed. There was a free car park just in front of the main reception area and a good size foyer area inside the building so you did not have to wait outside in the rain or bad weather. Also foyer area had ample toilet facilities and even a bar where you could order a good range of alcohol and soft drinks prior to entering the auditorium. The auditorium was warm and comfortable with raised seating so everyone could see the impressive stage. The whole theatre experience was first class and I would highly recommend it as a top venue.”

Furniture Village
● Open“A really good selection of high quality furniture from leading brand names that is very well displayed in their large showroom. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful without being at all pushy and leave you to browse yourself having introduced themselves and offered assistance. Much better service (and quality of items) than a certain 'destination store' that we used to use but which has now significantly deteriorated. Highly recommended.”
-
Premier Inn Milton Keynes Central (Xscape) hotel
● Open“A conveniently placed hotel with rooms at a decent price and great and welcoming staff. The only issues I have are the leak in the bathroom causing some audible water drops (which for someone with my audio sensitivity, made it harder to sleep). The heating was broken and I was quite surprised to see a ventilator in the room (when I arrived), that helped although it wasn't nice having the room's thermostat set to an unchangeable 26-27° (it wasn't even that hot outside) and the fairly loud ventilator that had no rotate mode.”
