Using a Digital Command Control (DCC) radio system, visitors can watch a wide variety of locomotives and rolling stock run through the intricate layout. The club is open to group visits of 10 or more and also conducts prototypical operating sessions once a month. The Depot has recently undergone improvements including upgrades to the restrooms, new lighting, and a fresh paint job on the historic Southern Rwy caboose. The club welcomes donations of scale model railroad equipment and historic railroad items to support the maintenance and development of the layout and museum.
