"I hate living here. The leasing office SUCKS. There is no distinguished form of contact, they implement policies without notifying people. Maintenance orders are put in and either don’t get addressed or addressed months later. Management speaks in a condescending tone to paying residents and the list goes on. By far the worst complex I have ever stayed at. Dirty as hell too and homeless people have been seen sleeping in the halls that lead to the residences…. Update, I still hate these people. They never answer the phone, Terrible with communication, never available, and y’all responded to my comment for what? To do nothing . THE WORST LIVING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE"

"Genuinely and without a doubt one of the worst places to live in Durham. The staff couldn't care less about professionalism or responding to e-mails or requests for follow up when there are issues (and believe me, there are issues). Cockroach infestations, overflowing dumpsters, regular plumbing leaks, and indifferent/passive aggressive and unresponsive leasing office staff members, all under the veneer of a rebranding and new paint job. Arbitrary, unexplained charges pop up on monthly statements, and if you ask for clarity, there's no response. If you don't pay the extraneous charges (reasonably, why would you if you don't even understand what they're for?), suddenly they pop up out of the blue to remind you of the outstanding charge and pester you (again, without any attempt at explaining) what exactly it is that they're charging for. No place is the perfect place to live. But Renew Durham is deeply deficient in honesty, integrity, cleanliness, staff quality, responsiveness, care, and compassion. People deserve at *minimum* these qualities when they're spending their hard-earned money for a place to live. You won't find any of these qualities here. Do not be fooled by pricing or well-lit photographs on their website. Trust me, look elsewhere to live. EDIT 1/26/24: I knew they'd respond to this review with a generic message about how they "strive" to do better. You showed my family and I *repeatedly* just how indifferent you are to your residents' satisfaction. You can drop the facade, which you are clearly putting on to save face on Google reviews. Folks, do not live at Renew Durham, I guarantee you'll regret it."

"This complex is deplorable. I agree with Lyndsay Haywood they don't care their residents. I have been complaining about the conditions that I have been living in and nothing as been done. I have even given doctor's note for myself and my son that I need to live in better conditions and still nothing has been done. The company they hired in the summer to replace my carpet broke my son's bed and it now January 2024 and I still haven't received a replacement bed; therefore my son's mattresses have been on the floor since the summer. I can't get anyone to get back to me about the issues that I have been dealing with. I am still waiting on a response from the property manager for an email that I sent on December 8th, 2023. But they are constantly going up on the rent saying that they have to keep with the market value. I say what market value, they are offering less than the the market value offering. I have asked for compensation or lowered rent for my troubles but I have received nothing. DON'T AND I REPEAT DON'T APPLY TO LIVE HERE!"

"BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!!THE COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS RESIDENTS . THEY WILL HAVE YOU MOVING IN UNDER UNLIVABLE SITUATIONS. They regional is a joke and could careless about their employees or residents. They do not want to spend money on repairs, pest control, or basic needs for the property. This whole establishment needs to be tore down . And it needs a new management company."
