Nestled in the picturesque Hamlet of Valhalla in Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, the cemetery spans a mile along the railroad track, offering a tranquil ascent to the highest point of land between Tarrytown and Long Island Sound. Kensico Cemetery is not only a place of remembrance but also a vibrant part of the community. Join us for the annual 5K Run/Walk, hosted by the Friends of Kensico Cemetery, on October 27th, 2024. This fall event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the stunning autumn foliage while supporting the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester and the Friends of Kensico Cemetery. Participants can choose between a scenic 5K run or a leisurely 1.7-mile walk, followed by raffle prizes and a catered breakfast.
