About the Business

Sharon Gardens

Welcome to Sharon Gardens, a serene and beautifully maintained cemetery located at 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, New York. Nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Valhalla within the township of Mount Pleasant, our cemetery offers a peaceful resting place in Westchester County. With its rich history dating back to 1889, Sharon Gardens is part of the esteemed Kensico Cemetery, which was organized under the "Act authorizing the incorporation of Rural Cemetery Association" passed in 1847.

Our grounds span a scenic area with a gentle ascent to the highest point of land between Tarrytown and Long Island Sound, providing a tranquil environment for reflection and remembrance. We are proud to be a part of a community that values history, nature, and respect for loved ones.

Join us and the Friends of Kensico Cemetery this October for our annual 5K Run/Walk fundraiser. Scheduled for October 27th, 2024, this event will take you through the breathtaking fall foliage of the Kensico Cemetery and Arboretum. Proceeds will benefit the YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester and the Friends of Kensico Cemetery. Participants can look forward to raffle prizes and a catered breakfast as part of this meaningful event.

Sharon Gardens is committed to accessibility and inclusivity, with our website, Kensico.org, regularly reviewed for ADA compliance to ensure all visitors can access the information they need. We invite you to visit us and experience the serene beauty and historical significance of our grounds.
