Limekiln State Campground is located at Limekiln Lake Road in Inlet, New York, United States. This campground offers 271 tent and trailer sites, a picnic area with tables and fireplaces, hot showers, a guarded swimming beach, and canoe rentals. Visitors can enjoy fishing for a variety of fish in the lake, including yellow perch, bullhead, and splake. Nearby attractions include a water park, shops in Old Forge, museums, and hiking trails such as Old Dam Nature Trail, Rocky Mountain, and Bald Mountain. The campground is surrounded by the Moose River Plains Wild Forest, offering even more hiking opportunities. Swimming at the campground is unsupervised, and swimming is prohibited during certain hours. The campground can be accessed from the New York State Thruway via various routes. The Limekiln Lake Public Campground Unit Management Plan guides the DEC's land management activities at the facility. Visitors can support DEC lands, facilities, and programs through the National Heritage Trust. Campground rules and regulations should be reviewed when visiting.

Unlike typical mountain peaks, Woodhull offers a lengthy, flat approach along an old railroad bed, making it ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts and those seeking a more varied hiking experience. The first five miles of the trail are mostly flat, providing a smooth ride for mountain bikers throughout most of the year, or a scenic cross-country skiing path during winter months. As you journey along, you'll pass the turnoff to Remsen Falls before reaching a bridge where the biking path ends and the hiking trail begins. Here, you can securely stow your biking or skiing gear before continuing on foot or snowshoe for the final 2.5-mile ascent to the summit. The gradual climb rewards you with stunning views of the Western Adirondacks, and the fire tower offers an even more spectacular vantage point, although access to the cab is currently restricted.
