Welcome to Achievement First Brooklyn High School, a vibrant and dynamic public charter school located at 1485 Pacific Street in the heart of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Since opening our doors in August 2009, we have been dedicated to providing a high-quality education to students in grades 9 through 12, with a steadfast commitment to ensuring that 100% of our students are accepted into four-year colleges and universities.

Conveniently accessible via the Kingston-Throop stop on the C train and the B43, B15, and B65 buses, our school is a hub of academic excellence and holistic development. Our rigorous curriculum and high expectations are complemented by comprehensive support systems, including SAT prep, intensive college counseling, and tutoring, to ensure our students receive the same opportunities as their peers in wealthier and private school settings.

At Achievement First Brooklyn High School, our students are not only scholars but also athletes, artists, and leaders. We offer a wide range of enrichment and extracurricular activities, including art, computer science, dance, journalism, music, as well as sports like basketball, cheerleading, soccer, and more. Our clubs and organizations, such as the Anime Club, GSA, Poetry Club, and Caribbean Student Association, provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop their talents.

Our dedicated faculty, led by Principal Damen Scott, an experienced educator with a deep commitment to student and family partnerships, are passionate about nurturing the potential of every student. Damen's leadership, along with our strong alumni network, helps ensure our graduates succeed at prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, Syracuse University, and Williams College.

We are proud to house the Empower Program, a specialized initiative designed to support students with disabilities, ensuring they have the resources and services needed to thrive academically and personally. Under the leadership of Nick Kaiser, our new Director of the Empower Program, we continue to enhance our efforts in providing a student-centered experience that supports all students in achieving their most ambitious goals.
