Reviews
"Worst University especially for CS majors. Expect low quality teachers who absolutely don't care, buildings that are falling apart and look condemned, and an administration that is too happy to ignore you and just take your money. You've been warned!"
"honestly worst college ever been too, cant tell about other major, but C.S. has one of the worst faculty with even garbage professor. Its the worst place for a C.S. student"
"Beautiful campus and one of the oldest in Brooklyn. College has been renovated in the last two decades. It is very pleasant to walk around the beautiful campus. College has pipeline high school, which funnel students into 4 years of college."
"I can only tell you about my experience as a student. -If you’re a computer science major - AVOID (professors are mid tier, classes are either really early or really late in the day, college focuses on opportunities mainly for business majors) -If you’re a math major - AVOID (same as comp sci). -If you’re a student with mental health issues and seek support or guidance - AVOID (you will not be met halfway by some professors or the college for your mental issues. There are only few opportunities for mental health leaves or anything of that nature. ) -If you want the most out of your transfer credits - AVOID (i fought for two years for some of my college courses in high school to count towards my degree progress and not as electives. I was not successful. I had to take english 101 twice. ) -If you’re a commuter student and your commute is longer than an hour - AVOID (you will burn out, trust me.) -If you want your classes only on one day or two days out of the week - AVOID (from my experience youre most likely gonna have to come to campus four days a week sorry buddy) I wont be completely unfair though. Here are some pros. -Pretty campus, gives you the “I went away to college” vibe -So many food options nearby -Clubs are very active, there’s something for everyone -Freshmen get a free book lmao. My freshmen year we got Becoming by Michelle Obama -There’s always some kind of event on campus -Lots of study space and places for students to hang out -you can have a five minute gap between classes and feel pretty ok about making it to the next class since the buildings are so close together"
"Nice bit of civilization in an otherwise less civilized section of Brooklyn. Sprawling and verdant campus with several school halls featuring fine architecture. The college's policies are strictly yet equally enforced, which is admirable. I know of at least one alum who went on to a promising career in federal law enforcement... though I also know another alum who went on to a promising career in federal penitentiary, so the college's what you make of it at day's end."
