CityMD Springfield Gardens Urgent Care- Queens

"I was indecisive weather to wait or not they had quite a few people,the polite receptionist assured me that they are working fast it was almost 7pm, so I waited and before half an hour I was called, then I met another polite young lady who did the intake she was also sweet, 5 minutes after the Dr came in she was so caring and explained clearly and answered my many questions. I will choose this particular place for me and family if I ever need to go. I guess the supervisor is doing a really good job."

"Everyone was exceptionally amazing except for the clerk at the front desk crystal williams who though she knew everything instead of listening to what I was explaining to her about my daughters insurance. As a parent that has a child that has a disability or a child without a disability at no time do you take it upon yourself to tell a patient to go else where if you don’t like the service I’m receiving from her and I say her because I didn’t even get the chance to see the doctor or the car time before she open her mouth to talk to me about unnecessary things instead of getting someone to see my child asap to check my 8 years old daughter that came in with a lump on her head from falling at the play ground instead she kept running her mouth pro longing the process in which anything could have been going wrong in the space of time she took speaking to me about insurance weather or not she had insurance you do not turn and 8 years old child away without having the child check at what PIONT was crystal going to understand the child needed to see a doctor instead of going back and Forth about unnecessary things so because of her actions I would never bring my child back there I’ll rather go to the emergency room. Even when I told her I would report she made it clear she didn’t care and to go ahead. As if she owned the establishment.so because of her I give 1 star the doctors were amazing and the two young ladies in the black especially the first one that took us to the room she is amazing and awesome. She’s the best she know exactly what to do to defuse the situation instead of egging it on like crystal. Did."

"It's near home and the staff are kind and professional. The MDs draw your blood which I love and the receptionist are always approachable and kind. Kindness is mentioned twice because as a ER Nurse here in the city- we know kindness isn't that common. Thank you from Nurse Donni for making my experience as a patient seemless."

"Extremely long waits for simple COVID-19 tests. Yes, we’re back at again. The flu, fever, various-types-of-viruses-out-in-the-open season. Many come here to see the doctor, who seems to appear at a certain hour. So if that hour isn’t the hour that you’re in, you’re going to be waiting for a while. Not sure if it’s because of the location of the CityMD but it’s pretty obnoxious to not have a doctor on site and have people wait for several hours just to be seen. Obviously time is not valued at this location. In other CityMDs, you’re usually in and out -especially for COVID tests. I was I would be called in within 30 minutes however, 30 minutes pass by, an hour pass by and then 1hr 30 minutes pass by, finally they call me in. Almost two hours waiting to be called, in a waiting room infested with people coughing and sneezing all over the place. Yes, they require masks. It’s mentioned by the front desk BUT they do NOT address it to those who refuse to wear it. Honestly, if you may think you would test negative, you might as well get ready to test positive after being in the waiting room alone. They need to come up with a better system. Maybe, have more nurses or doctors in. Maybe, have people take their COVID test and let them go within 15 minutes (for rapid and almost immediately for pcr). Maybe, have a separate line for those who want flu shots and COVID tests and a separate line for those who want to see a doctor who is never in…I don’t know. I don’t get paid the big bucks to tell the truth on here and make suggestions. It’s just very annoying to finally have a well-known urgent care in the area. Making money off the people of the community and not really servicing much. Maybe it’s my fault for demanding 4-5 star services as the CityMDs in predominantly white communities. Pros: They have hand sanitizers and masks available on site."
