"BEWARE - Very RUDE & will LIE. - Doctor sent them my elderly father's Insulin prescription that he needs to survive. - They LIED & told my father that our doctor never sent them the prescription. - They were VERY RUDE & AGGRESSIVE towards my elderly father who was in desperate need of this medication to survive. - Contacted our doctor who was very confused and we waisted a whole day trying to unravel the fact that they bold faced LIED about never receiving the prescription. - Once we applied more pressure they finally ADMITTED they actually didn't have any Insulin due to a shortage. - So we spent an additional day tracking down a pharmacy that still had stock. - We were PANICKED and lost so much time & energy just because the Pharmacist felt it was necessary to LIE & attempt to pass on fault to our doctor.... - This is unacceptably LAZY & DANGEROUS behavior, especially concerning the fact that my ELDERLY father needs this medicine to survive."

"I came in on a Friday night to purchase a card after buying gifts elsewhere. I WAS HARASSED BY SECURITY THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS IN THE STORE. One of the guards in particular was watching/following me around the entire time l was in this store. After spending a few minutes looking through the cards, he began to aggressively hoover around me and violate my personal space until the point I became uncomfortable and just left the store. JUST BECAUSE I'M A YOUNG BLACK GUY WITH BAGS IN MY HAND DOES NOT MEAN I'M GOING TO STEAL SOMETHING. Quite frankly a very upsetting and humiliating experience, and I will be sure to escalate this further through whatever channels I can find, because treating people that way is not okay."

"I like this Duane Reade because of its location in Soho and the availability of affordable drinks and snacks or other personal care needs. It is a pretty mid-size store but contains most of the items you will find at your typical convenience store. I didn’t get a chance to check out the lower level but even the top level looks like a complete store."

"Every time I go to pick up a medicine, the attention is unpleasant, especially Katrina; she always asks my last name two or three times and tries to correct my pronunciation, that's what I feel she does and she never has a friendly attitude, at least not with me. Customer service should improve, this is a sector where the friendliness of people is characterized and Katrina does not meet the profile."
