Welcome to Havens Homestead, a cherished historical landmark located at 15 Main Street, Center Moriches, New York. Proudly maintained by the Moriches Bay Historical Society, the Homestead offers a captivating glimpse into the lives of its final residents, John Scudder and Mary Pelletreau Havens. Originally built in 1740, the Homestead underwent a significant transformation in 1898, merging its 1750 remodel with the elegant American shingle style that was popular at the turn of the century. Visitors to Havens Homestead can explore the rich history and architectural beauty of this remarkable site. The Homestead is supported by the Museum Shop located in the Tuttle Farm barn, which was generously gifted as a funding resource. This shop offers a variety of unique items and souvenirs, helping to sustain the preservation and educational programs of the Homestead.
