Welcome to Gallery 90, a vibrant hub for art enthusiasts located at 90 Main Street, Center Moriches, New York. As part of the Havens Ketcham Cultural Visitor Center (HKCVC), Gallery 90 offers a dynamic space where art and culture intersect, featuring both indoor and outdoor exhibits, including the enchanting Sculpture Field 'Pasture'.
Current Exhibit: LIGHT and SHADOW - Dive into the interplay of illumination and darkness in this captivating group show. Join us for an insightful Artists’ Talk on September 15 at 2pm.
Previous Exhibits: Our gallery has proudly showcased profound works such as "Songs of Freedom" by Rani Carson and "The Black Experience" by Kathleen Celestin.
Classes and Workshops: Gallery 90 is more than an exhibition space; it’s a creative learning center. We offer a variety of workshops for all ages, including:
- Quilling for Children (ages 7-12) and Quilling for ages 12-adult with Gayle Wagner. Discover the art of paper filigree and bring to life beautiful creations like animals, ornaments, and more.
- Pop-Up Books for Children (ages 7-12) with Pam Collins. Let your child’s imagination soar as they craft pop-up books with innovative paper techniques.
- Mixed Media Book Arts (ages 12-adult) with Pam Collins. Explore book making and mixed media to create personalized journals and collage art.
- Traditional Cursive Writing in America During the 18th Century with Linda Prentiss. Master historical cursive styles using traditional calligraphy tools.
- History Through Drawing for various age groups with Linda Prentiss. Delve into the past through detailed drawing exercises focused on historical objects.
Meet Our Instructors:
- Gayle Wagner: An award-winning Quilling artist from the East End, Gayle brings over 15 years of expertise to her engaging workshops.
- Linda Prentiss: A renowned painter, printmaker, and calligrapher, Linda’s work has been exhibited globally. She is currently an instructor at Suffolk Community College.
- Pam Collins: With over 20 years of teaching experience, Pam is passionate about art education, both in schools and community settings.
