Welcome to Helping Hands of Potsdam, Inc.

Located at 5868 New York 56, Potsdam, New York, Helping Hands is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to serving the communities of Eastern St. Lawrence County. Since our founding in 2004, we have been committed to providing essential support and resources to families in need, thanks to the generous contributions from local churches, individuals, organizations, and businesses.

Our services extend to the communities of Brasher, Colton, Hopkinton, Lawrence, Madrid, Nicholville, Norfolk, Norwood, Parishville, Pierrepont, Potsdam, Stockholm, and South Colton. We proudly offer a wide range of assistance, including a food pantry and lunch program, distribution of used furniture and housewares, and support with fuel, rent, and utility payments during crisis situations. Our mission is to ensure that no family in our area goes without heat, nutritious meals, or the spiritual support they may need.

Recent generous donations, including $10,000 from an anonymous donor and $5,000 from Brookfield Power, have strengthened our ability to serve our community. We are deeply grateful for this support, which enables us to continue our mission of helping those in need.
